Just A Question...

Why does it seem like everyone I know is having a baby right now?

Especially those who were pregnant with me around the same time as Thomas was born.  Am I the only one not 100% sure I want to have another baby now, yet?  It sure feels like it... Geez people chill with the fertility I'm in no rush...

Wednesday

I really dislike that title line for blog posts.  I am extremely uncreative when faced with that blank line asking me for a title.  I mean, first of all, I feel like I *have* to fill it in, because it's there and it's blank.  But it doesn't really make sense to fill it in first because half the time when I write I don't even know what i'm going to say yet.  But I just can.not type in the post field until the subject line is filled in or it drives me crazy.  I know, I'm weird...  I guess I could always go back and change it later but that would be giving it too much importance... stupid subject line... *grumble*

Moving on... I felt like I needed to update though I'm not quite sure what I'm going to say yet.  Things have been about the same.  Jack got his new job at work which is great.  He's now the supervisor over the department he was in.  They still need to find a replacement for him though.  So far he's been just as busy, but I'm hoping once they hire the other guy he can have more normal hours.  We'll just have to see how it goes.  I'm getting really antsy wanting a bigger house lately.  I know it's not incredibly realistic right now, nor is it entirely necessary but it would be nice.

That being said, I'm trying to make our house bigger by getting rid of as much stuff as possible.  Getting rid of things is incredibly difficult for me.  I don't want to give away or throw away that's worth something, so I try to sell it all.  But that takes more time and so then the stuff is still sitting in your house for a good while.  It's frustrating.  I've given myself a deadline.  Maybe we can have an impromptu yard sale or something and then I'll just toss anything left over or bring it to a thrift store.

The baby stuff is just in an entirely different category all on it's own.  Because it's stuff we have absolutely no use for whatsoever at the moment but it's not like we're not going to have anymore children and so we're going to need it eventually and so I want to hang on to it.  But it's like where do you put all this stuff?  And I don't want to bring it to a storage unit or put it in the shed because I don't want bugs and who knows what else getting into it and then making it not even useable.  Bah.

So I'm trying really hard to go bit by bit. Right now, I've set up a bag by my dresser so when I'm looking for clothes to wear or putting away laundry I can find stuff I don't wear often if at all and can put in that bag to give away.  Once the bag gets full, I plan on getting rid of it all.  Clothes are hard too though, because there are maternity clothes I don't want to give away but can't use now, clothes for when I'm bloated or gaining weight and clothes for when and if I'm skinny.  Some of them are worn more than others... but they still all get use every so often.  I would say 70% of the crap we don't have anywhere to put is clothing.

I'm at least getting my office more organized though, setting up "stations" for work, scrapbooking, sewing, etc., I've started using pieces of cardboard to make mini fabric bolts as well so my fabric is easy to see and not all clumped together.  It's really nice and I'm excited for when everything will be done.

Thomas is doing great, he is so tall for his age, so busy and energetic always keeping me on my toes but he's a sweet kid and learning more every day.  Today he put his shoes on by himself, they were on the wrong foot but he knew something was wrong because he brought it to me, it was very cute.

I guess that's pretty much what's going on right now.  Me trying to balance watching Thomas with getting rid of stuff and organizing the house, Jack working his new job, and all of us really tired a lot- with the exception of the little boy who things naps are for sissies.

I have a goal to lose about 20 pounds by... oh I don't know maybe October.  I wanted to do p90X but apparently the work outs are like 90minutes long and I just don't have the time for that... I may try it and see if Thomas gets too much in the way, maybe he'll surprise me and play along.  Anyway, right now he's having a tantrum because he can't open my lipgloss... we may have to try for that nap again.
