All In A Day's Work

So far today Thomas was able to rip off three diapers, poop on the carpet, dump spaghetti-o's all over the floor and on himself, spill cereal in his bedroom, tip over a chair, destroy half a roll of toilet paper, and pee on a curtain. All before nap time.

But we went on a walk to the post office, and he fell asleep on the way home, so he is now thankfully catching up on some sleep, which surely after doing all that he is in need of. I don't understand why he understands the concept of pulling his pants off to go to the bathroom but not the whole, go to the bathroom in the toilet part. I'll work on it... this morning he sat on his potty and asked for a treat even though he didn't go the bathroom, I thought that was pretty funny.

Last night we had a combined family night with the other relatives in our area. It was a really nice experience and afterward we took a walk up the canyon and I brought my longboard and the little skateboard Thomas got for Easter. We had a really great time, lots of fun and it was nice to be longboarding again even if I didn't get to go very far. It made me think about all the stuff i used to enjoy doing before I got pregnant, and even before I got married. I'd like to try to get back into those things and make time to do them more. I think my new work schedule should help a lot in this. It's odd not working most days of the week now, and being home with Thomas more. I'm not really sure I know how to be a stay at home mom and lots of days I get overwhelmed just thinking about how we have the entire day together and what the heck are we going to do?

Here's a quick picture from the canyon ride, sorry the quality is so bad, cell phone pictures, ya know how it goes!
But I've been trying to think of fun things we can do that don't cost any money, and taking a lot more walks and going to the park more. It's been good. I'm also looking into ways I can make some more money so we will see what I come up with.
