So I guess I'm using the fact that it's really early as an excuse to just sit and type on the computer instead. Thomas woke up around 6am today and I finally got him to sleep again but then he woke up at like 7:30 and WOULD NOT sleep. Ugh.
I ended up getting up, putting him in his playpen and trying to just sleep on the couch but it wasn't working out so great. After Jack left for work I could tell he was getting fussy again so I was finally able to put him back to sleep but by then there was no way I would be able to go back to bed. *sigh* So now he is catching up on those precious missed hours and I am here drinking Dr. Pepper trying to be alive for the day.
Today I hope, will be a good day.
Yesterday was pretty good. I went to Macy's and found out I had like $100.00 in gift cards which was a really awesome surprise because I was thinking it was something like $20.00 So I had a little shopping spree and got some clothes for summer.
I haven't heard anything back from the FSA people but I really REALLY hope they figure it out soon and do right by me. They have a really good rating on the BBB so I'm trying to stay hopeful.
I lost my car keys the other day, it was a nightmare because I was in freaking Cottonwood Heights which is like an hour from where I live. This girl from work was driving me home and then our supervisor called us ot tell us she had found them so we turned around to get them. At first I thought I had locked them in my car so I called the police department to break into my car for me and get them. Holy crap! There were like 6 cop cars there- not even exaggerating. It's comforting to know the police department of Salt Lake City doesn't have better things to do on a Saturday night except break into some girl's car *side eye*
I'm glad they came though, even though my keys ended up not being in my car but being underneath a keyboard in the office (whaaat?). I know, I could have sworn I checked it like a million times but isn't that the way things always go? Needless to say, I'm now looking into investing into AAA or getting a copy of my car keys made. I'd rather go with AAA I think because a car key is like $150.00 UGh.
Why are some things in life so expensive?
On the brighter side, I bit the bullet and booked a vacation for me and Jack. I spent more money than I wanted to but I think it's worth it. We need to just have some time together, just the two of us, and it wil be sooo nice to just relax for awhile after everything that has been going on.
I decided after this vacation which is going to be pretty much the vacation I've always wanted (hopefully) I can start planning a future trip. I want to take some time off of work and just go around the country visiting all the places where friends and family live, catching up and introducing them to my family, and taking Jack to all the cool sites in the states and places he has never been too. I think it will be really fun. And then maybe we can end our trip in Hawaii and go camping on the beach :) Except if we're going camping maybe we should wait until next year when Thomas is older. I don't know what it's going to be like traveling with a young child. It could be a nightmare so we'll have to wait and see how things go.
Working for an airline is nice :) Sometimes I get tired of the monotony of my job but then I remember all the great benefits I have from it and it's totally worth it. And now that I'm in a different department the things I do for work are a lot more involved and I have a lot more responsibilities which is nice and keeps me from being bored.
Well I guess I wrote enough to wake me up a bit (or maybe that Dr.Pepper is finally kicking in) so I'm going to try and clean up a bit since my house is a train wreck.
Peace/

I am beyond pissed right now. I am so angry that I can barely form words. Words do not exist to express my utter contempt and disgust for the "system" at this moment.
I guess I should start at the beginning... when Thomas was born I used the qualifying life event to open a FSA account so that I could use it to pay off my medical expenses over time. The total amount I elected was $750.00 Which only comes out to about $16/week out of my paycheck. Totally doable and I would be able to pay off all the rest of our bills (for the most part).
BUT, of course when I add it in they tell me they have to put it back to 2009 because that is when Tommy was born, which means they'll have to grab a bunch of money out of my paycheck to make up for those past few months where I was on my leave etc., Fine. WHATEVER. So I say, okay, 2009, date of his birth, makes sense, go ahead, do it. Some time goes by and I get my FSA card in the mail. I log in to view the details of the account and it says effective date 01/10. So I call them up and ask why it's 2010. Incompetent guy on the phone goes, "uhhh, I don't know. Hold on." Hold for a long time then says, "you have to call your employer and have them back date it to 2009."
So I call JetBlue, explain what's going on they say they will take care of it. Some time goes by and they send me an e-mail saying that they have to do it for 2010 that they can't do 2009 because of some tax thing and that 2009 has already closed. Fine. Whatever. I call up FSA people and ask them if I will have problems paying my 2009 bills since it is 2010 now, they say no, it's fine, don't worry about it. The charge is for the date of the charge not the date of the bill. Okaaay..
In March, I call up and pay my bills. Time goes by, I get a letter in the mail saying FSA wants proof of the eligible charge so I send it to them. Now they're denying the claim and saying that they can't honor it because the date of service was 2009. WTF?! So basically because people lie to me, I get screwed over.
Now I have to pay them the money I charged which is +$400 in addition to the money that they're taking out of my paycheck every week. What the hell am I supposed to do with over $1200 of medical credit that I can't use because all my medical bills are from last year.
This is beyond frustrating, I'm beyond pissed and totally screwed over. this effin blows.

In Demand
So I haven't updated my blog in a very long time, but I have been really busy lately. I picked up a second job doing the US Census. It's nice but I haven't been able to get in as many hours as I hoped. It's only been a week but I hope next week I can do a lot more.
Things are going well. With the extra cash we have now from this other job I was able to splurge a little (okay a lot) and buy a Pazzles machine. This thing is AWESOME! It is far better than a Cricut, and bigger than the Silhouette. I am so in love and can't wait to scrapbook more.
On Monday I have off with JetBlue so I am going to do Census stuff during the day and then spend the night (since you can't really knock on doors at night) organizing my work area downstairs so I can scrapbook while working.
I did some practice cuts and drawings with the Pazzles and am in love! I also got a REALLY good deal. They are usually $600 and I got mine on ebay for less than half of that. Which is awesome because even on Ebay they go for around $400 so I got really lucky.
Thomas is doing much better at entertaining himself now that he can squiggle and worm around. I am going to make a blog update on that later on when I get a chance. I have some videos of the little guy that show off how he is getting so good at squiggling where he wants to get.
Anyways, it's time for me to log in to work so that's all for now.
Peace

Just saying...
Right now one of two things needs to happen.
1- Thomas needs to eat more
or 2- I need to have more opportunities to pump more.
Or else, my boobs will explode.
