General Conference weekend!

Not really in the mood to write much right now, but I'll probably have an update tomorrow or on Monday- most likely Monday since we're going over to Karen's tomorrow.

11 Weeks

So today, Baby is the size of a lime. I'm looking at my stomach and it doesn't really look like anything bigger than the size of a peanut is in there, but that's what the internet says so I dunno.

It kinda like dropped down or something I guess.. I don't know it looks different...

Moving on, today is the lasagna day, I actually need to get started on making it very soon because I figured it takes about 3 hours to make. I really hope it comes out good, I don't want to mess it up.

Oh and I just remembered I need to call Jack to tell him we can help his brother move Saturday. My days are getting all confused, I keep thinking today is friday and tomorrow is Saturday and Saturday is Sunday... and you know.

I'm still feeling sick, still throwing up. Last night I even threw up after I ate dinner, I usually don't throw up in the evening so that made me sad. I seriously think I'm getting worse rather than better.
I'm baby-sitting during the day at the family's house that I interviewed with yesterday so I'm really hoping that I don't get sick while I'm there. Especially since she doesn't know that I'm pregnant yet.

One more week until my ultrasound, I can hardly wait! Hopefully time goes by fast.

April the fool

That's me :P

Today was awesome for basically one reason. I announced to facebook that I was pregnant, and nobody believed me because today is April's Fools Day!! In my opinion, the best April Fools prank ever, because it's true. Haha I am such a dork.

I did start to feel a little better later in the day, but still not 100% today is the first day in awhile that I've been nauseous all day long, it's usually just in the morning and the evening.

Anyyywaayy! I got the baby-sitting job WOOOT!!! *throws confetti* It's not really a big deal, I'm only charging like $6/hr and it's only like twice a month or so but I'm still excited because any extra income is good. Money is money.

Jack has class today, he should probabyl be home soon, the class is in Salt Lake and he usually gets out around 7-ish. I'm not really sure what I want for dinner... I got stuff to make lasagna but that is to be made tomorrow because Chris and Lori are coming over since they're moving on Friday. I'm a little worried because I've never made lasagna before and my life has a tendency to fall apart when I'm trying to do nice things for people.

We saw Marly & Me last night it was cute, but in the beginning of the movie I was scared because she had a miscarriage and she told the doctor she was 10 weeks and that's how far along I am so now I am really anxious. I will be so relieved when I get my ultrasound next week, assuming everything is going on track, which I really hope it is.

Oh, and then the girl kept freaking having babies! I was like, oh my gosh, 2, then 3, when is it going to end?! Now I'm worried that once Jack and I start having kids it won't stop lol. Like a leak that's been stopped with a cork and all of a sudden the cork falls out and there's nothing you can do about it. Babies dropping from the sky ahaha

Okay, I guess I've rambled on for long enough. And I can't really think of anything else to write.

Oh but check this link out, Spread the word to end the word. Jack says it's "retarded" but I say he is being a jerk and I completely agree with it. I might even add my name to the petition thing.


Edit!!! AHHH!! I almost forgot to mention the best thing I did today...

haha I am still laughing really hard about it. But basically, I was making a new music player for my blog and I had this cute one and I was like... oh this is soo pretty, and then I realized that the pattern that I thought were flowers were actually marijuana leaves!!! HAHA!! Definitely a "brain dead" moment.

I don't think I will ever stop laughing about that. It's gotta me my biggest pregnancy brain moment, topped only by my grabbing the handle of the casserole dish straight from the oven with my bare hand, ouuch!

*Sighs heavily*

Good morning. Threw up twice so far this morning. Usually I feel better after that happens but right now I still just feel gross and awful. I might take some phenergan in a bit and then just let myself go back to bed. I don't want to be involved with the world today. Especially not the way it's snowing all crazy :( I am seriously not loving the snow.

In other news, today is April Fool's day. Another good reason to avoid the world, because it's almost impossible to go somewhere without someone commenting on the fact that my name is April, oh joy.

I remember last April's Fool. It had been only a few weeks since my last speeding ticket, making a total of like four or something. So I waited until the afternoon and I called Jack up and told him I got another speeding ticket. He was really annoyed but then I told him it was an April's Fool joke. I thought it was pretty funny :P

Okay, I am seriously not functioning properly right now. Maybe I will post later but right now I just need to go sleep or something.

Early Morning

I woke up at about 7:30 today.

Well, Jack woke up at about 7 and I tried to sleep with a goal of staying in bed right up till 10, but unfortunately it's really hard to fall back asleep when your heat source has left you all alone to fend for yourself. That and the fact that I had to repeatedly fight back the urge to vomit every time I tried to lie back down.

So here I am, awake early, waiting for the rest of the world to be alive so I can play. :)

Jack and I signed our tax papers today so I have to go mail this thing. I'm kinda annoyed that we ended up owing, but we are still getting some back- but actually, it's a big deal to me that I don't want to talk about soooo moving on!

Today is the last day I have to use the free meal at Tucano's but Jack and I weren't even all that eager to go. So today, he said would be too busy for him since he has a lot to do at work and probably won't be able to take off long enough for lunch so I'm going to meet Karen in Salt Lake and we will go together.
I was going to originally go with Kaley because I know she and Clint love that place, but her schedule was kinda opposite mine so unfortunately it didn't work out.

Anyway, I told Karen I would meet her early so she can leave for her lunchbreak before things get really busy so I iwll be off now!

First Post

I'm in a hurry because Jack is calling (it's time to watch 24!) but this is our new blog! YAY!
It will probably still be edited and such but leave your comments and loves and all that <3

About The Boy

The only member of our little family actually born in Utah, has miraculously still turned out alright- so far. (Just kidding, Utah isn't that bad).

Thomas Otis was named after his Grandpa Thomas, from April's side of the family and his Grandpa Otis, from Jack's side of the family. We love that his initials spell "TOM" but mom calls him Thomas 90% of the time and occasionally Tommy. Name shortenings aren't my thing.

He really loves all his grandparents, and was even born on his Grandma Diane's birthday, October 26th. Aside from sharing names and birthdays with his relatives, Thomas enjoys dancing (he even 'snaps' his fingers), picking up bugs, playing in the dirt, playing with the water, and taking his naps- just kidding about that last part. According to him naps are just a sign of weakness.

At such a young age, he is a very smart boy. Already learning to show just enough of a sensitive side and use those adorable dimples to be popular with the ladies.

Although he is a very well traveled little boy and enjoys toting around his own toddler-sized suitcase, Thomas always enjoys coming home to all of his toys. Possibly a potential hoarder, he is very attached to his stuff, and insists on bringing at least two toys with him whenever we leave the house.  We're working on it. ;)


His first word was "ball" at around 10 months but started walking a month earlier and soon went on to climbing and running.  His vocabulary currently includes: "go, go go!" (Thanks Cat in the Hat), "book", "bug", "water", "more", "peease" (please), "thank you", "dahn" (dance), "water", "bath", "uh-oh", "oh no!", "whereisit?", "where'ditgo?", "I dunno", "bye bye", "hi"- to everyone he sees! "ice", "night night", "nose", "'nack" (snack), "where's the ball?", "mama", "dad", "mom", "I did it!", "good job!"- he is very encouraging of himself, "cheeeeeese!"- all of a sudden he loves the camera, and more!

All in all, he is about the sweetest, most energetic, well-rounded little boy I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. And should you ever have the pleasure of meeting him, too, I'm sure you would say the same.
