blogging because there's nothing else to do

This problem with my UTI is starting to really get me stressed. I was doing a lot better but then yesterday I forgot to bring my pill swith me when I went out and I didn't get home till late so I took my antibiotic late and now it's hurting a lot.
I'm hoping it's just a temporary thing and will get better, but even with the pain medication they gave me it still hurts. I'm just really starting to worry that this new stronger antibiotic isn't going to be good enough to make me better and if that's the case, I'm going to have all sorts of problems- like a really high risk of the infection spreading to my kidneys and jeopardizing the baby. I guess I'm far enough along that if there was a serious problem, they would maybe be able to deliver the baby early and then try to treat me, but what if it's like the nurse said and the treatment doesn't work? And then if my kidneys fail I can die. I'm really kinda scared and trying to act like things are okay and are going to get better but I really don't know that for sure.

I don't know what to do...

It seems right now everyone is going through a hard time, a lot of my friends are having some of their own problems as well, I just want everything to work out for everyone. It seems like when it rains it pours so maybe this is just something I have to deal with right now and then everything will be okay but I'm skeptical.

I've had these stupid infections since high school and I do everything the doctors say and more and still get sick. I'm just so worried that one day they aren't going to be able to fix it. And it's so painful and awful and I don't know how to stop it. I don't know why it happens to me and I just want it to go away forever.

Trying to stay positive... one thing I am looking forward to is mine and Jack's anniversary. We're planning on going to Manti but is it weird that I don't want to take off of work so we can go? I planned on picking up extra hours and working more once I got home but I just feel so exhausted and tired all the time and then with all these problems and me having to go to the doctor like twice a week I haven't found the time. I just have to try to motivate myself and tell myself the extra money is definitely so worth it but sometimes I feel like it's not.

Maybe if I got a better hold on at least one thing in my life I would feel better. That happens to me sometimes, when I feel like my living space isn't how I want it, my weight and looks aren't how I want it, and I'm not thrilled with my job, I get kinda depressed and start feeling helpless about stuff. I really have to make an effort to get in control of something so I can feel motivated and upbeat again. I'm such a nut. At least I understand it now though, I used to not understand why sometimes I got all down and other times I was fine.

I want to try to be more social and spend time with my friends more, and so many other things. I feel like there is a list of things I want to do that never ends. Maybe I will try this week to work on those things and then I will feel better in a few days and more enthusiastic about working and stuff. Maybe.... hopefully...

Pregnancy is like football

I get the goal, and Jack gets the assist. (excerpt from convo with Pax) Yeah, that whole conversation made me laugh.

Some other favorite pregnancy related conversations:

Meg: "When you're on the delivery I want to scream 'this is all your fault!' at Jack for me"
Yes, it made me laugh, but sorry Meg, I probably won't be doing that. We're both very excited for the little one :)

Meg: "*pew pew pew*" -no further explanation needed :P

Lenny (while talking about me taking lamaze classes): "Breathing is easy, just in and out, in and out."

oh and one more- "uterus=lovesac" I think Marci said that one haha.

I thought I should start documenting these because maybe they're not funny to you but they definitely make me laugh!

The weeks have been flying by and I can't believe how quickly time is going! I'm already 33 weeks pregnant. I had a little scare the past few days- due to a UTI that wasn't treated properly (they think I developed immunity to the antibiotic I was taking) it got much worse and I woke up Tuesday morning with awful cramps and chills. I was so scared that I was going into labor!!

Mind you, I have no idea what contractions are supposed to feel like so I was worried that maybe this was it. Well, they checked me and the doctor said my cervix is perfectly fine and I'm not dilated at all so no worries. I know most women might be disappointed at this news, because they all seem very anxious to have the baby but aside from constantly gaining weight I don't mind being pregnant too much and having the extra time to prepare the babies room, work as much as I can and get money, and all that other stuff is fine with me!

I was informed today that the cramps I felt were probably early contractions because UTI's can cause them. They were painful and now I'm a little scared about my choice to not have an epidural. I think I will have them there just in case. I really don't like the idea of a needle in my back though, or not knowing how hard to push and being numb down there through all that, and having to pay even more money for it, and all that other stuff. But we'll see...

I'm totally bummed about my doctor not telling me when the prenatal classes started in time for me to sign up. But maybe we will be okay without the class. There is just so much to learn and I'm worried that I will do someting wrong.
Right now my biggest concern is just the health of the baby. With all this infection and crap I'm worried about him and I just hope he is okay.

This summer went by fast with all the weddings and everything. We got our brick fence taken down [[YAYAY!! thank you daddy and aaron and of course Jack <3 ]] I got to visit New York and have a surprise party and baby shower with some friends from high school and I had my baby shower here in Utah. We bought the car seat and everything and all we need now is a stroller. I'm so touched and grateful at my grandpa's gift to me, he said he will pay for the stroller!! Now I just have to get it.

Jack and I are doing good but our car payment came out twice last month by accident which was kind of annoying because now things will be kinda tight until he gets paid again. I'm kind of annoyed because we were doing so good and I was really feeling good that we were starting to save a lot more money. But I know everything will be fine, we just have to be aware of what's going on and stuff.

I got some maternity pictures done (thy were free!) and I'm glad that I did. I'm pretty sure I covered all the big stuff from this summer. And now Jack and I are getting ready to celebrate our 2nd anniversary which I'm so excited about! I can't believe how quickly time goes by. I just keep thinking about how our family is going to grow and be 2, 5, or 10 years from now.

Jack and I are very grateful for all the love and support we've had from everyone. We love you all!!

Update

It's been awhile... yep.

I made a youtube video awhile ago for my plurkie friends so I'll throw it on here:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d16-o1FqLdY

Things haven't changed much, my weight has been about the same for the past few weeks. I fluctuate between 150-155 which puts my total weight gain so far at 25 pounds. That's not bad, and I was so worried that I was going to be gaining so much weight since I put it on kinda fast in my 2nd trimester. I did get stretch marks though :'( I have three on the right side and so far none on the left *fingers crossed*

I can't believe I'm in the 3rd trimester already!! Less than 100 days until the baby is born!!

We're pretty much 100% decided on the name- he'll be named after both our dad's so Thomas Otis. Which means his initials will be TOM which I think is super cute!

My new job is going well, I should be able to start working from home soon. I really need to start picking up as many extra hours as possible because of the time I won't be working after the baby is born.
It's going to be hard and time is going by so much faster than I thought it would!

I'm really going to be relying on the help of relatives so I can work after the baby is born. I hope that time goes by quickly! There are a lot of things I'm worried about like if breast feeding will hurt a lot and if I'll have the energy to do it. If I'll have to pump at work or random moments during the day, and how often I'll have to wake up in the middle of the night to comfort the baby.

I'm worried about being able to lose the baby weight and the money I may have to spend on clothes, I really haven't bought any maternity clothes most were given to me but I don't have many tops and I've been wearing my pre-pregnancy ones which is probably going to stretch all of them out so I really should go buy some.

Overall I'm excited though. I think mine and Jack's relationship is ready for a baby and although we will have a lot to learn and a lot of changes we will need to make mentally in preparation I'm not too worried about that.

I'm getting really excited, August is going to go by soo quickly! It's a busy month! I'll have the baby shower and the wedding in Florida, and I'm going to New York and will probably have a baby shower there as well. I'm trying to plan a good day to go to New York now, I think it will be easier when I'm working from home because I can see what shifts I can pick up to make up for the hours missed and try to trade some. I don't want to take any vacation time that would lower the amount of hours I usually work per a week because money is the one thing I think we could really use right now!

I'm also excited for our anniversary in September. At first I was hoping the baby would come early- kinda for selfish reasons, I didn't want to be pregnant for too long haha, but now I'm thinking it iwll be better if baby can stay in there until it's time to come out!! The more days I have to work and prepare the better! I'm still amazed at how quickly time flew by.

The more It hink about it, the more I'm excited for my October due date. I'm due the 22nd and I think that's a perfect time! It's close enough to Halloween so he can have fun birthday parties but far away enough that the parties don't have to be Halloween themed! Can you imagine having the same kind of birthday every year of your entire life? How sad!

I'm thinking for Halloween this year we will do the idea I had last year. I can be Catwoman, Jack can be Batman and the baby can be Robin! Now we just need somewhere fun to go haha.

Lack of friendship is probably the thing that's been dragging me down lately. Although I feel like we're so busy and always doing stuff, at the same time I also feel kinda sluggish and stuck in a rut. I just want to go have fun!! I don't care how old or pregnant I am, I still am just about as mature as I was in 11th grade. Well, a lot more mature but I still like to do the same immature things like skateboard and run around the mall and spit tapioca pearls from Bubble tea at people and have water fights and stay up late playing video games and having dance parties!

I would still do these things except we have nobody to them with and that is the ultimate let down for me right now. :( Boo.

Anyway, I need to go do productive things today so this is my update and I will try to post again soon.

It's been awhile...

I haven't posted in a long time. Sorry!~!!!!

I guess I haven't really felt like there is much to update people one.

Here's a recap of things that have happened:

- I'm still pregnant ha

- I got a job at an airline :D

- The throwing up everyday has gotten a lot better

- I've either stopped gaining weight or my scale is broken (I'm thinking our scale is broken!)

Here's a picture of me at 21 weeks:

I can't believe I'm going to be 6 months pregnant on Wednesday!! Time really is going by fast. Soon I'll be in my third trimester!

So far I don't have any stretch marks, which I'm really happy about and hoping my luck continues.

The baby is moving a lot more than just a month ago. It seems he likes to wiggle around at about 1 pm till about 2 or 3, then he must take a really long nap or something because I don't feel any kicks again until about 10pm. I wonder how long he stays awake for... this is what has me worried lately. I like staying up late, and sleeping in but if the baby is awake until 4am and wakes up at 7, I might die.

Whatever happens though, I'm sure I'll be able to manage, it's not like I'm the only person who likes sleep that has ever been pregnant before. We'll just do what we gotta do.

I'm starting to be really excited about having a boy. I'm totally bummed that I sold my 6" long trick skateboard at the garage sale because it would have been soo adorable for baby!! Maybe I'll have to find another one, I won't start with that until he's older though so plenty of time.

I keep thinking back to the day Jack and I took our niece and nephew to the park while their parents ran errands. Gracie was 3 and I think Ben was 5 and I let them ride on my longboard with me and it was so fun! This lady stopped her car on the side of road to comment about how awesome she thought that I was teaching my kids to skateboard. I had to laugh since they weren't MY kids, but one day very soon, I will have my own little boy to teach all sorts of fun stuff. It will be so fun. :D

I'm beginning to be less overwhelmed about all the things that seems to be going wrong. I just have to accept things aren't always going to be the way I want them. It sucks, and it's really hard and frustrating when you plan things out to avoid getting screwed over and then you still get screwed but if I can't change it... I can't change it. There's really not much else I can do.

There are so many exciting things coming! I just have to try to keep up with everything and get ready for it all!

Don't eat your Scentsy

So the other day as I'm sure I've raved to all of you, I won the Scentsy giveaway from the Samjodiego blog.

Well, I got my product today and I can not tell you how excited I was!! It smells sooooooo good, everyone loves 'em.
I just have to share Jack's words:

He walked over to the warmer and looked inside, "It smells like candy in there, can we eat them?"

Haha he is so cute.

This is the warmer I chose:

I think it's really pretty and fits the nature theme in the nursery perfectly.

I'm thinking of also getting a plug-in warmer for the kitchen, or maybe even an additional warmer but we'll have to wait and see how things go financially for us. $15-30 is really not much at all but I have a hard time buying groceries, I'm not a big spender type personality.

Anyway I love the warmer, I love the smell, I LOVE the smell!! My favorite scent that I got is "Skinny Dippin'" I seriously could eat it, I keep inhaling deeply and then sighing happily haha it's fabulous.

My mom who is staying with us while she attends classes at the Y was very pleased with it also. She said it's good and healthy to have relaxing aromas around the house. I agree :) I think baby does too hehe.

So my husband is happy- albeit the scents might increase his already large appetite haha, I'm ecstatic, AND grandma is happy. Everybody wins :D

In other news... I've been feeling the baby move more lately which is fun now that I actually know what the kicks feel like- seriously at first I thought it was just like gas bubbles haha.

The house projects are moving along but I find myself getting discouraged as things seem to not be going according to plan in the bedroom. Apparently our king-size bed is too big to fit in the one spot where it owuld look PERFECT. Too big by like 2 inches. I wanted to just swap it for a queen-sized bed but I wouldn't want to swap with someone I don't know, used mattress egh! Also, we could just buy a new bed but then where would we store the king-sized bed? Our storage space is already pushing the limits.

I'm hoping I can figure something out soon that I'll feel good about. This is all stressing me out. It will be such a relief when everything is done.

Despite the setbacks I am still very excited, and even starting to think about ideas for our first halloween with baby. I was thinking we could do a football player for baby, me a cheerleader, and Jack a coach OR we can do my idea from last year, baby is Robin, Jack Batman and me Catwoman.

It's an exciting time and despite the fact that sometimes I let myself get a little too stressed around my family, I'm glad my mom is staying with us. She's really helpful and it's nice knowing I have someone to help motivate me to get stuff done and help to get stuff done.

Babys Mama!!

Well, I'm sure you all are sick of me talking about my online forum all the time but today we have done so major changes!

First of all, we now have a Twitter! Granted, I'm not a big fan of twitter, it is a great way to keep in touch and get more numbers on our site which is really what I want more than anything right now.

In addition, we also now have a BLOG which is what I am most excited about.

I'm planning a contest/giveaway VERY VERRY soon, and I can tell you right now, getting members to the site will help you a great deal if you want to win! *hint*hint*

Remember, you don't have to be pregnant or a mom to join, even if you are just wanting to share advice, or prepare for a baby or will be trying to get pregnant soon- the site will be great for you!

That's all for now!

Thanks everyone for all your ideas and help thus far, we're almost there!
